MIKU YASUKAWA

Miku Yasukawa studied at Tokyo University of the Arts before moving to the U.K. to study in Guildhall School Artist Diploma course, where she was a finalist for the Gold Medal 2023.
Miku sang Ravel Shéhérazade under the baton of Jonathan Nott with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra to critical acclaim. Other recent highlights are performing the role of Norina in Don Pasquale with Hurn Court Opera, Schubert Mass No.5 in A flat major and Brahms German Requiem with Bach Collegium Japan under the baton of Masaaki Suzuki, Brahms German Requiem with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Charles Stewart.
Future engagement include Zemlinsky Lyrische Symphonie with Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa under Masaaki Suzuki in May 2024.
Miku’s studies are generously supported by the Yonden Cultural Foundation, The Sidney Perry Foundation and the Japanese Agency of Cultural Affairs.
