Miku Yasukawa studied at the Kunitachi College of Music and at the Graduate School of the Tokyo University of the Arts. When she graduated from the latter, she was awarded the Mai Mutou Prize with scholarship. Currently she is based in both the U.K. and Japan, and is studying on the Artist Diploma course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

She has appeared extensively as soprano soloist. In October 2022, she performed Ravel's Shéhérazade with Tokyo Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Jonathan Nott in Suntory Hall and Muza Kawasaki.

She made her U.K. opera debut with Hurn Court Opera as Norina in Don Pasquale. Opera Now magazine rated the production five stars and praised Miku Yasukawa's “dazzling coloratura” and “virtuoso buffo style”.

In September 2023, she will be performing Schubert's Mass No.5 as a soloist with the Bach Collegium Japan under the baton of Masaaki Suzuki.

She has been awarded scholarships from the Yonden Cultural Foundation, from Guildhall School Trust and from Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs.
