Profile picture of Miku Yasukawa

Miku Yasukawa comes from Tokushima in Japan and studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts before moving to the U.K. where she is an Artist Diploma student under the tutelage of Marilyn Rees. She has appeared extensively with Bach Collegium Japan, including a European Tour. She recently sang the role of Norina in Don Pasquale with Hurn Court Opera to critical acclaim. Another recent highlight was performing Shéhérazade under the baton of Jonathan Nott with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra in Suntory Hall and Muza Kawasaki.

Future engagements include Schubert Mass No.5 under the baton of Masaaki Suzuki.

Miku’s studies are supported by the Yonden Cultural Foundation, the Guildhall School Trust and the Japanese Agency of Cultural Affairs.
